Big Ben and the Houses of parliament

Bong Bong Bong

The name Big Ben is often used to describe the tower, the clock and the bell but the name was first given to the Great Bell.

Beacon of "the mother of all Parliaments", Big Ben is possibly London's most famous landmark.

The Clock Tower was completed in 1859 and the Great Clock started on 31 May, with the Great Bell’s strikes heard for the first time on 11 July and the quarter bells first chimed on 7 September.

Houses of Parliament
The very first meeting to claim the name ‘parliament’ was the Model Parliament of 1295. Its powers were strictly limited though – as the country was ruled by the King. When a fire gutted the building in 1529, Henry VII moved to St. James’s Palace and turned the building over to the politicians.

The one thing you won't have to worry about in our chauffeur cars is time. The only time you have to worry about is how close is the big hand to twelve so you can hear that world famous BONG.
